Graduation ceremony of Teachers of French (DELF)
The Embassy of France has organized Tuesday 9 August the graduation ceremony for Batswana Teachers of French language who received on this occasion their “DELF” (Diploma of Studies in French language). Recognized world-wide, this diploma is not only a proof of proficiency in French but also opens doors to most French or Francophone universities.
During her speech the Ambassador of France to Botswana, HE Mrs Anne de la Blache, has congratulated the awardees as well as all parties involved in the teaching of French language in Botswana (the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, the University of Botswana, the FTAB and Alliance Française).
The Ambassador also expressed her wish to see the implementation of a Scholar DELF in Botswana, as it has proven to be a great tool to boost the training in French language and get even better scores
This success pays tribute to the ambition and dedication of Batswana teachers as well as their continuing interest and love for France, its culture and its values, so similar to those of Botswana’s.
