3 international summits postponed

Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, the French authorities decided to postpone 3 international events that were to take place in June and July on French territory.

The Africa-France Summit of Bordeaux will not be held early June. Instead, the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, in close collaboration with our African partners, will soon propose a new initiative dedicated to the health and economic response to Covid-19 in the African continent.

In agreement with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Nature World Congress of Marseille is postponed to the first quarter of 2021. Protection of the Environment, biodiversity, fight against climate change and health issues are strongly linked on the top priorities for France and will be strongly reaffirmed with a concrete action plan.

Last, in agreement with UN Women, the Paris Equality Generation Forum is postponed to the first semester of 2021. On this occasion, France will highlight the commitment of all women fighting today against the Covid-19 worldwide.
